Live Webinar: Protecting CUI & Export-Controlled Data: Key Updates & Best Practices

May 1 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

$195

Over the past year, industry has witnessed critical updates to how Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) is managed, stored, and shared. This webinar will delve into the most significant shifts in regulatory guidance and the ongoing overlap with U.S. export controls—covering cybersecurity requirements under both the FAR and DFARS and evolving NIST and CMMC guidelines affecting CUI. Attendees will gain practical guidance on identifying export-controlled CUI, applying proper markings, ensuring secure storage, and addressing common compliance questions. Join us for expert insights, actionable strategies, and answers to frequently asked questions to ensure your organization stays ahead of these regulatory shifts.

Learning objectives:

  • Identify Regulatory Updates – Understand how export control regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR) intersect with CUI handling requirements, ensuring compliance with both frameworks when managing sensitive data.
  • Understand Implications of New Cybersecurity Requirements – Whether you’re a prime contractor for NASA or a machine shop supporting DoD primes, you need to know how the regulations around safeguarding data are changing and what that means for you as far as cost and timelines.
  • Adapt to Recent Compliance Updates – Apply the latest regulatory changes to internal policies and procedures, ensuring that both export-controlled information and CUI are properly classified, marked, and managed in alignment with evolving federal requirements.

This webinar will include PowerPoint slides and live video and commentary from Bailey Reichelt. Each registrant, even if unable to attend live, will have access to the presentation, certificate of completion, speaker contact information for follow-up questions, and access to the webinar recording within 1-2 business days after the webinar airs.
